I like being able to take the bed plate off, or even take the whole press off my work table, for more working room when I'm not pulling prints.
The set up was quite simple.
Great for the "way too small" studio or for those who need to use the kitchen table or set up in a corner somewhere when working.
I've done some cool embossing and interesting monoprints I cut up and incorporated into collages.
This is not a printing press for pulling etching, dry point, etc. prints. There is no felt included because it is a press for block printing. Not etching, dry points, etc. Just block printing, which doesn't require felt. When I was doing some experimental printing which did require felt, I went to the art supply store and bought some.
The experiment failed so I cut the felt into squares, glued the felt to the back of very cool looking wall tiles I bought at Home Depot, and made coasters. When life hands you lemons, make coasters.
